Three firms bid contract package C-5 of India's first Bullet Train Project

New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has opened financial technical bids for the civil contract package of C-5 of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor. A total of three bidders have submitted their bids. The bids are for the construction of the 8.198km section of this project. 

The name of the bidders are 
Larsen and Toubro Ltd. (L&T)
IRCON International Ltd. 
GR Infraproject Ltd. 

Tender notice for this work was issued in June 2021. 

The Scope of the work under this contract includes design and construction of Civil and Buildings work including Testing and Commissioning on Design-Build Lump Sum Price Basis for double Line High Speed Railway involving Vadodara Station, Confirmation Car Base, Viaducts and Bridges, Crossing Bridges and related works between MAHSR km. 393.700 and MAHSR km. 401.898 in the state of Gujrat for thr project for construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor. 

The 508.17km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor will connect Mumbai to Ahmedabad with 12 bullet train stations.
