Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): Larsen and Toubro engineers are all set to complete and launch first full span Girder (40m) of Package C-6 for Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) emerged as the lowest bidder for constructing the 87.569 km Package C6 of the 508.17 km Mumbai – Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR Bullet Train) project in November 2020, after officials from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL) opened financial bids submitted by 3 infrastructure companies.

Package C6 from chainage 401.898 to 489.467 is the third longest package of the entire line, and connects Vadodara with Ahmedabad through one station and a minor depot at Anand-Nadiad. The estimated cost of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project is ₹110,000 crore, of which ₹88,000 crore will be funding from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project has a completion deadline of 2023.
