Kanpur Metro coaches to be brought from Surat next week, trial will start soon

 Kanpur, India (Metro Rail Today): Kanpur Metro Rail coaches work is complete and they will be brought to Kanpur from Savli, Gujrat next week. The three coaches of the train will be brought by road from different trailers. A coach is 23m long. Thus, the first train will be 69m long.

According to the officials of Kanpur Metro, three state-of-the-art coaches of Metro Rail is ready. The front and rear coaches will also have engines. All three coaches will relate to each other from the inside. The coach will have an emergency button as well as an announcer key. With these facilities, a driver can report the problem to the control room. It will help the authorities to make proper arrangement on the next station.

Metro trials will be conducted in early November 2021 by equipping them in the depot built in the polytechnic. After the trial and all the other steps, the metro will run between IIT and Motijheel. The Metro operations on this route will start from January.

Kumar Keshav (Managing Director of UPMRC) said, 
Kanpur Metro Rail will be more modern than Delhi and Lucknow Metro. There will be more facilities in the metro train.

State-of-the-art trains are inline with utmost passenger safety and energy conservation. A total of 39 trains with 3 coaches each are to supplied to the Kanpur Metro for both the corridors under Phase-1 of Kanpur Metro Rail Project. For the Priority Corridor, Kanpur Metro will get 8 trains. These trains have been designed with assistance from Bombardier Germany and design experts at Bombardier’s Hyderabad office.
