Hopefully, by 2023, we will be able to travel to Baramulla from Jammu, work is underway. I request everyone to think of the railways as the nation's property, ensure that there are no disruptions caused to its services.
The Udhampur-Srinagar-Banihal ( USBRL) Rail Link Project is of national importance. After its completion Jammu will be linked to Srinagar through the Rail Route. Railway Minister took a review of the USBRL project which is at its last leg. The cost of the project which is to link Jammu to Srinagar Valley through an all-weather rail line is Rs 27,949 crore. The project will be completed by 2022 and will facilitate ease of transport for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. There are 7 stations proposed in the section. Due to little of flat space, some of the stations are to be within tunnels or bridges.
