Paytm FASTag based payment facility launched at Delhi Metro parking

Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): Paytm Payments Bank limited (PPBL) said that they have launched the country's First FASTag-based Metro Parking facility on Monday. They have launched it in partnership with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. (DMRC)

An Official said
As an acquiring bank for the parking facility at the Kashmere Gate station, Paytm Payment Bank will facilitate the processing of all FASTag-based transactions for cars having a valid FASTag sticker, thus eliminating the hassle of stopping and paying cash at the counter.

Paytm Payment Bank Limited will provide the facility of the processing of all FASTag based transactions for cars which are having a valid FASTag sticker at the Kashmiri  Gate Metro Station. Two-wheeler owners can also pay their parking fees digitally at the metro station through a simple UPI payment. Presently, the facility is available at Metro gate number 6 at Kashmiri Gate Metro Station.

Mangu Singh (MD of DMRC) said that "This is another step towards  digitalization in the DMRC's endeavor to provide solutions to our customers especially in these times when contactless transactional methods are the need of the hour."

The bank is also in discussion with various stakeholders. They want to implement digital payment facility for parking areas at shopping malls, hospitals and airports.
