Larsen & Toubro gains two more contracts of the Chennai Metro Rail Phase 2 Project

Chennai, India (Metro Rail Today): The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has opened two more financial bids of civil contracts packages of Phase 2 on September 6, 2021. The Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) is the lowest and only bidder. The packages are CP-10 EV-03 and CS-ECV-02. 

The work of package CP-10-EV-03 includes construction of approximately 10.12 km of elevated viaduct,11 numbers of elevated stations from Assissi nagar to CMBT and cut and cover the section, depot approach of approximately 15km. The work also includes verification of design suitability for construction and architectural finishes, plumping work, signages and all the related work of corridor 5. 

The work contract includes construction of an elevated viaduct of approximately 12.431km long from Ch:16178 m to Ch: 19296 m, Ch:22962 m to 30199 m, Ch: 31178 m to 31241 m and Ch: 31657 m to 33719 m. The construction has to be between CMBT Metro Station (excluding station) to Puzhuthivakkam Metro Station which  include span and construction of 12 number of elavated stations. The Metro Stations are Grain Market, Sai Nagar Bus stop, Elango Nagar Bus Stop, Muglivakkam, DLF IT SEZ, Sathya Nagar, CTC BUTT Road, Alandur, Adambakkam, Vanuvampet, and Puzhuthivakkam. The work also includes the  interegrated highway grade separator from Mugalivakkam to MIOT Hospital, Vehicular Underpass at Vanuvampet and all related works in Corridor 5 of Chennai Metro Rail project Phase-2.
