DMRC receives 4 bids for an underground contract package of Phase 4

New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) revealed that the corporation has received a total of 4 bids. The bids are against the contract package DC- 05 of phase 4 of Delhi Metro Rail Project. DMRC reveled it on September 14, 2021.

The name of bidders are:-
Larsen & Turbo Ltd (L&T)
Afcons Infrastructure Ltd
Gulermak Agir Sanyi Insaat Ve Taahhut A.S.
ITD Cementation (India) Ltd

The scope of work under the contract includes design and construction of Twin Tunnel by shield TBM, Tunnel by cut and cover, underground ramp of Derawal Nagar and six underground stations. The stations are Derawal Nagar, Ghanta Ghar, Pulbangash, Sadar Bazar, Nabi Karim and Ramkrishna Ashram Marg. The work also included Architectural Finishing, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation, Drainage works of stations on Janakpuri West to RK Ashram corridor of phase 4 of Delhi Metro Rail Project.

Tender for this contract was invited in June 2021 and the estimated cost was Rs 2,445 crore. This package will also be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This is the last contract package issued for the construction of about 7.45 km underground section of Magenta Line.

The extension of this line will be 28.92km long. It will connect Janakpuri West to RK Ashram with 22 stations. 21.18km of the section will be elevated and 7.74km will be underground. The name of the stations are Krishna Park Extension, Keshopur, Paschim Vihar, Peeragarhi, Mangol Puri, West Enclave, Pushpanjali, Deepali Chowk, Madhuban Chowk, Prashant Vihar, North Pitampura, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Bhalaswa, Majlis Park, Azadpur and Ashoke Vihar, Derawal nagar, Rajpura, GG Sabji Mandi, Pulbangash, Sadar Bazar, Nabi Karim and RK Ashram Marg.

The bids has been sent for the evaluation now and the financial bids will be opened soon.
