Bangalore, India (Metro Rail Today): In a recent move, three construction companies have submitted bids for the pending work on the 7.5-km elevated Metro line along Bannerghatta Road which lies between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere. Around six months ago, The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd had terminated the contract awarded to cash-strapped Simplex Infrastructures Ltd in 2017, citing poor performance.

After the contract got terminated, Simplex Infrastructure Ltd had only completed 35 per cent of the total civil construction work. It is being estimated that the cost of this bid will be Rs 339 crore.
This is an elevated line of 7.5 km  which consists of five Metro stations including  Kalena Agrahara (Gottigere), Hulimavu, IIM Bengaluru, JP Nagar Phase IV, and Tavarekere (Swagath Road).
