New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): Financial bids for the selection of the work of Project Management Consultancy Services for the Construction of Civil Works Packages for Mumbai Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project opened today.
According to bid results shared by National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL), the consortium comprising of Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd (TCEL), Consulting Engineers Group Ltd. (CEG Group), Aarvee Associates Architects Engineers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd, PADECO Co. Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidder.
"Joint Venture of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited, Consulting Engineers Group Ltd., Aarvee Associates Architects Engineers & Consultants Private Limited, PADECO Co. Ltd. has quoted the lowest bid for an amount of Rs 1,111 Cr. and the tenure of the contract is 96 months," said statement issued by NHSRCL.The scope of work includes supervision of all 13 civil works packages including Viaducts, Concrete/Steel bridges, Tunnels (Undersea & Mountain tunnels), Civil work of all 12 stations, Maintenance depots, and Training Institute building.
A total of three consortia/Joint venture companies were submitted their bids. Out of, two consortia/Joint venture companies were qualified in the technical bid evaluation. The final score achieved by the shortlisted bidders are as under:
- Joint Venture (JV) of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited, Consulting Engineers Group Ltd., Aarvee Associates Architects Engineers & Consultants Private Limited and PADECO Co. Ltd.: Score 99.25/100
- Joint Venture (JV) of Nippon Koei Co. Ltd., Oriental Consultants Global Co. Ltd., RITES Ltd.: 97.25/100
However, the third consortia comprising Engineers India, RODIC Consultants, STUP Consultants and LEA Associates South Asia was found not compliant in the technical round. The bidders have been selected on the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method.
Tender for providing project management consultancy (PMC) services for the 508.17 km under-construction Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor was invited on 11th November 2020. Technical bids were opened in December 2020. A total of three firms have submitted the bids.
In December 2016, NHSRCL had appointed a General Consultant (GC) team comprising of Japan International Consultants for Transportation, Nippon Koei and Oriental Consultants Global. The GC team is now working to appoint a dedicated project management consultant to manage the construction work of the project.
